Computer Design for Apparel

Computer Design for Apparel (DHE 121) is an introductory-level online course that focuses on apparel-related drawing, editing and layout techniques using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:
- Draw free hand illustrations, fashion illustrations and technical flats for apparel using Adobe Illustrator
- Edit digital images and technical flats for apparel using Adobe Photoshop
- Edit and create apparel design line sheets using both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop

This course is delivered online via Blackboard, where you will interact with your classmates and instructor. Within the course Blackboard site you will access the learning materials, tutorials and syllabus; submit assignments; email the instructor; and display your projects. Ann Vong is an instructor in the Department of Design and Human Environment. Ann holds a M.S. in Design and Human Environment and a B.S. in Apparel Design from Oregon State University. An avid follower of new techniques and tools in computer aided design, she continues to explore surface design and visual representations of textiles including 3D apparel applications.
